Protect Your Home With a Maintenance Plan
One scheduled visit a year from an A.J. Alberts plumber covers the plumbing, the water heater, and the softener in your Woodbury or East Metro home, so small problems are found before they become the emergencies that ruin a weekend.
What's Included
Annual Plumbing Inspection
Visual inspection of supply lines, drains, water heater, and main shut-off. We catch leaks and corrosion before they fail.
Water Heater Flush
Maintenance and sediment assessment according to the selected water heater's instructions.
Water Softener Tune-Up
Salt level check, brine tank cleaning, and resin bed inspection to keep your softener performing.
Priority Scheduling
Plan members get same-day priority over standard service calls when you have an urgent problem.
Discounted Repairs
Plan members receive a discount on any plumbing or water conditioning work that comes up during the year.
No-Trip-Fee Service Calls
Standard trip fees are waived for plan members. You only pay for the work that gets done.
How the Plan Works
Once a year, at a time you schedule, a licensed plumber spends the visit on the systems that fail quietly. Supply lines and shutoff valves are checked for corrosion and for valves that no longer turn, which is the one you need in an emergency. Drains and fixtures are checked for slow leaks under sinks and around toilets. The water heater is flushed and its anode and connections looked at according to the manufacturer's instructions, because sediment from hard water is what shortens a tank's life. The softener gets its salt level, brine tank, and resin checked and its programming confirmed against measured hardness, which is also when a softener that has quietly stopped working gets caught.
Anything that needs attention is written up with a price before it is done, and you decide. There are no commissioned salespeople, so the visit is an inspection, not a sales call. If the plumber finds nothing, you hear that too.
Plan members move ahead of standard calls when something urgent comes up during business hours, pay member pricing on repairs during the year, and do not pay the standard trip fee. The maintenance plan guide goes into which homes gain the most; the short version is that a home with a tank water heater, a softener, and a finished basement has the most to protect.
Maintenance Plan Questions
What happens at the annual maintenance visit?
A licensed plumber inspects the supply lines, drains, fixtures, water heater, and main shutoff, flushes the water heater according to its instructions, checks the softener salt, brine tank, and resin, and writes up anything that needs attention. You get the findings in writing, with a price for any repair before it is done.
Is a plumbing maintenance plan worth it?
It depends on the home. A house with a tank water heater, a softener, and a finished basement has several systems that fail expensively and quietly, and one visit a year catches most of that early. A newer townhome with little equipment gains less. We will tell you which you are.
Do plan members get faster service?
Plan members get same-day priority over standard service calls when they have an urgent problem, during business hours.
