The City of Lakeville supplies municipal water from 20 wells 460 to 864 feet deep, and its Water Treatment Facility, built in 1998 and expanded in 2001 and 2015, uses chlorine and potassium permanganate to oxidize and remove naturally occurring iron and manganese before distribution. The city reports hardness of 18 grains per gallon, which the USGS scale classes as very hard, and suggests a softener setting of 14 to 16 grains per gallon so the water is not over-softened. As of our 2026 city research, no PFAS contamination has been documented for Lakeville's municipal supply, which lies south and southwest of the East Metro plume; the MDH lookup shows the current status for the system serving your address.
